Dr. Stephanie Fletcher-Lartey
GPHCoN Network Director | Public Health Epidemiology, Research and Evaluation Specialist; and Transformation Coach
Renowned for her innovative approaches to professional coaching, mentorship, and capacity building in public and environmental health, she brings extensive field experience and global knowledge to her work. Her expertise spans key areas such as public health research, evaluation, and health emergency preparedness and response. She has a distinguished career that includes advisory roles for various international health development organisations, including WHO Pacific, the Caribbean Public Health Agency, and NSW Health. Her work is defined by a commitment to empowering others through insightful guidance and a forward-thinking perspective on public health challenges. She has undergraduate qualifications in environmental health, a Master of Public Health (Distinction), and a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health Epidemiology, as well as various certifications in Training and Assessment, Performance Coahcing, Professional Mentorship, and Transformation coaching.
Dr. Stephanie is the Visionary Founder and Director of GPHCoN. She has brought together a powerful team of experts from around the globe to create this space for environmental and public health professionals worldwide, to access professional mentorship, skill-building, and fostering collaboration.
Dr. Taraleen Malcolm
Technical Advisor | Noncommunicable Diseases and Mental Health
Dr. Malcolm is a Technical Advisor for Noncommunicable Diseases and Mental Health at the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) in Barbados, covering Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean. She previously held a similar role in Trinidad and Tobago and was a Specialist for Sustainable Development and Environmental Health in Jamaica. Dr. Malcolm has over 20 years of experience in public health and development across the Caribbean, and is renowned for innovative approaches and effective community engagement.
Ms. Erva-Jean Stevens-Murphy
Global Health Strategist/ HIV AIDS Advocate
Ms. Erva-Jean Stevens-Murphy is a dedicated public health professional with a unique blend of technical expertise and a passion for social activism. Currently serving as the Advisor for Field Support with the Global Programme Planning and Field Support team at the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV and AIDS (UNAIDS), Mrs Stephens-Murphy supports policy development and guidance for strategic planning and reporting in the HIV response. Prior to her role with the current team, she led as Advisor for Strategic Information with UNAIDS in Jamaica, Advisor for PEPFAR and Global Fund Implementation in Nigeria and Advisor for ending inequalities at the global level.
Throughout her work in Global Health, Mrs Stevens-Murphy has supported countries in their response to HIV through community engagement, research, partnership and sustainable approaches. She leverages data and evidence to shape development programs and policies.
As the former lead of UN Cares Jamaica, Ms. Stevens-Murphy was instrumental in addressing HIV-related stigma and discrimination. She trained United Nations staff on critical issues like unconscious bias and human rights, contributing to the UN team in Jamaica receiving a United Nations Secretary-General’s Award for their awareness-raising work. Ms. Stevens-Murphy holds a degree in environmental health and food safety and a masters in public health with a specialization in medical epidemiology. She is currently a PhD candidate.
Ms. Jeffericia Scott
Environmental Health Professional, Global Public Health Mentor, and Academic
Jeffericia Scott is a dedicated Environmental Health Professional, Global Public Health Mentor, and Consultant with over 25 years of experience in environmental health, food safety, regulatory compliance, and workforce development across Jamaica and the United States. She has built a strong reputation for her leadership, practical expertise, and commitment to protecting public health and developing future professionals.
Mrs. Scott began her career in Jamaica as an Environmental Health Officer and later advanced to Environmental Health Manager roles in both Jamaica and the United States, spearheading initiatives in environmental sanitation and food safety. She also enriched academia by serving as an Environmental Health Lecturer at the School of Public Health and Health Technology at the University of Technology, Jamaica, where she trained and mentored future public health professionals.
She currently works in the private sector in the United States as a Food Safety, Brand Standards, and Workplace Auditor, conducting assessments nationwide. Mrs. Scott is a Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS) who holds a Master of Public Health and a postgraduate qualification in Andragogy, reflecting her passion for mentorship, training, and leadership development.
Mr. Jevon Henry
Economist and Lecturer | The University of the West Indies
Jevon is a lecturer in the Department of Economics at The University of the West Indies, Mona campus, located in Jamaica. His academic and research interests broadly encompass the fields of behavioural economics as well as sustainable development, where he explores the intersection of economic behaviour and long-term environmental and social sustainability. In the year 2024, Jevon received the prestigious UWI/Guardian Life Premium Teaching Award, an honor that represents the highest level of teaching excellence and recognition available at The University of the West Indies.
Outside of academia, he has over a decade of experience working with international non-profit organizations, including Debate Mate, Explo at Yale University, and the Jamaican Association for Debating and Empowerment. He has completed professional training in the areas of Social Sector Leadership and Project
Mr. Joseph Nyakeh Ndoeka
Health Development Program Lead | GPHCoN Network Coordination Officer Assistant
Joseph is a program leader with over a decade of experience in international community development, with extensive expertise in health, and education related community development programs. He is skilled at project management, project financing, stakeholder and community engagement, and managing teams in the field, always with a focus on customer service, results and accountability. His work has centered on helping communities access resources, strengthen local systems, and achieve sustainable outcomes. Joseph is passionate about equity in public health and committed to building capacity where it is needed most.
