Dr. Stephanie Fletcher-Lartey

GPHCoN Network Director | Public Health Epidemiology, Research and Evaluation Specialist; and Transformation Coach

Renowned for her innovative approaches to professional coaching, mentorship, and capacity building in public and environmental health, she brings extensive field experience and global knowledge to her work. Her expertise spans key areas such as public health research, evaluation, and health emergency preparedness and response. She has a distinguished career that includes advisory roles for various international health development organisations, including WHO Pacific, the Caribbean Public Health Agency, and NSW Health. Her work is defined by a commitment to empowering others through insightful guidance and a forward-thinking perspective on public health challenges. She has undergraduate qualifications in environmental health, a Master of Public Health (Distinction), and a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health Epidemiology, as well as various certifications in Training and Assessment, Performance Coahcing, Professional Mentorship, and Transformation coaching.

Dr. Stephanie is the Visionary Founder and Director of GPHCoN. She has brought together a powerful team of experts from around the globe to create this space for environmental and public health professionals worldwide, to access professional mentorship, skill-building, and fostering collaboration.

Dr. Taraleen Malcolm

Technical Advisor for Noncommunicable Diseases and Mental Health

Dr. Malcolm is a Technical Advisor for Noncommunicable Diseases and Mental Health at the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) in Barbados, covering Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean. She previously held a similar role in Trinidad and Tobago and was a Specialist for Sustainable Development and Environmental Health in Jamaica. Dr. Malcolm has over 20 years of experience in public health and development across the Caribbean, and is renowned for innovative approaches and effective community engagement.

Ms. Erva-Jean Stevens

Global Health Strategist/ HIV AIDS Advocate

Ms. Erva-Jean Stevens-Murphy is a dedicated public health professional with a unique blend of technical expertise and a passion for social activism. Currently serving as the Advisor for Field Support at the UNAIDS Country Office in South Africa, she leverages data and evidence to shape development programs and policies. As the former leader of UN Cares Jamaica, Ms. Stevens-Murphy was instrumental in addressing HIV-related stigma and discrimination. She trained United Nations staff on critical issues like unconscious bias and human rights, contributing to the UN team in Jamaica receiving a United Nations Secretary-General’s Award for their awareness-raising work. Ms. Stevens-Murphy holds a degree in environmental health and food safety and a master’s in public health with a specialisation in medical epidemiology.

Joseph is a program leader with close to ten years of experience in international community development, with extensive expertise in health, and education related development programs. He is skilled at project management, project financing, stakeholder and community engagement, and managing teams in the field, always with a focus on customer service, results and accountability. His work has centered on helping communities access resources, strengthen local systems, and achieve sustainable outcomes. Joseph is passionate about equity in public health and committed to building capacity where it is needed most.
